As the founder of The Home Report, LLC, I have performed almost six thousand [6000] inspections throughout the Puget Sound area [King, Pierce, Snohomish and Kitsap counties] and attempt to provide a friendly, informative and thorough inspection of each and every property.  The Home Report, LLC was founded in 1989 and has been in operation for just over twenty years. Home buying can be a very stressful time. My client’s often tell me that my experienced, common sense approach goes a long way toward alleviating any confusion about the condition of a structure and the nature of maintenance and repairs.

Previous to being an inspector I have had over 17 years experience in design and construction preceded by architectural and engineering studies at Case Western Reserve University and the University of Washington. This included 11 years of general contracting and project management for residential and commercial construction, 6 years of electrical contracting [with Electrical Administrators and Journeyman's licenses for residential, commercial and industrial projects in Washington, Oregon and Idaho]. 

I am a Washington State Licensed Home Inspector. As of September 1, 2009, the State of Washington initiated the first portion of state licensing requirements for which experienced inspectors were allowed to provide proof of their previous background as a home inspector and then take a rigorous state exam. I am also a member of ASHI [The American Society of Home Inspectors], which is a national organization that provides an industry standard for the inspection field, for 13 years.

I didn’t learn construction just from a book or an inspection course, but from many years of hands-on building, design and contracting. This direct experience allows me to give a balanced view of building construction from a real world perspective which can go a long way in clarifying the vast amount of information available regarding building techniques and maintenance.
